Join us for our July Maker Meetup as we launch our newest community challenge: Make It Musical — and celebrate summer with a community BBQ.
Maker Meetups are a casual way to connect with other makers, share what you’re working on, get inspired, and explore new ideas. Whether you’re a long-time member or just curious about the space, everyone is welcome.
This month’s meetup is extra special as we combine our Summer BBQ, community hangout, and the launch of our next creative challenge.

Come by for food, conversation, and community. Hang out with fellow makers, tour the space, and enjoy a relaxed summer evening at Maker Cube.
🎵 The Challenge: Make It Musical
Build, create, or invent something inspired by music. It could be practical, artistic, weird, experimental, or completely unexpected.
Think:
• Instruments
• Sound-reactive art
• Speakers and audio gear
• Rhythm machines
• Kinetic builds
• Sculptures inspired by music
• Anything that makes noise, celebrates sound, or complements your music enjoyment
Challenge Timeline
Launch Party: July 17th
Challenge Runs: July 17th – September 15th
Project Submissions Due: September 15th
Winner Announced: October 1st
🏆 Prize:
The winning project will receive a free seat in our next Speaker Building Class.
At the meetup, we’ll talk through the challenge, share ideas, answer questions, and help participants start thinking about their builds. This is a great chance to brainstorm, find collaborators, and get motivated.
Bring a project to show off, bring your ideas, or just come hang out and see what the community is making.
