About the Instructor:

Mai has been working in the film industry as a costumer for the past 5 years after graduating from Capilano University’s Costuming for Stage & Screen program. Their journey in the fibre arts began in early elementary school with learning basic hand sewing and basic knitting from family members. While they didn’t get very far with knitting, sewing costumes and cosplays for fun would later lead to their current career in the film industry. After work and during time off, Mai currently enjoys handspinning, processing fleeces, and in general working with wool and other natural fibres. As a wool loving, yarn spinning addict, Mai loves to discuss fibre arts, spinning wheels, fibre processing, and fibres.
